SIA lifts flight frequencies for 2016 Northern Summer

SINGAPORE - Singapore Airlines will add a sixth daily flight to Bangkok in March as part of the Northern Summer schedule (March 27 – October 29). There will also be an increase in frequency to Colombo in Sri Lanka and Milan in Italy.

The sixth daily Bangkok service will add nearly 2,000 seats per week on the route. Frequency to Colombo will increase from seven to 10 weekly and Milan services will increase to six weekly from the current five, including two that continue to Barcelona in Spain.

To cater to peak-season travel demand, five weekly flights will be operated to the Italian capital, Rome, from June 25 to July 30, up from the current three flights per week. Services to Sydney in Australia will increase to 35 per week between June 23 and September 4.

Ahmedabad in India will see frequency increase from three to four weekly between April 30 and June 4, while 18 weekly flights will be operated to Mumbai from April 21 to  June 6, up from the current 17 flights per week.

Düsseldorf will become the newest destination in the Singapore Airlines network from July 21 with three flights weekly operated with the all-new Airbus A350-900.  www.singaporeair.com (ATI).
