Qantas launches Sydney-Beijing services, plans Melbourne-HCMC from May

SYDNEY - To coincide with Chinese New Year peak demand, Qantas has launched services to Beijing from Sydney, adding 3,300 seats weekly to the route and increasing its total capacity on routes into Asia by 7%.

Together with partners China Eastern and China Southern, Qantas now offers a choice of 130 weekly return flights between Australia and China, with connecting services to 256 domestic destinations within China. The Jetstar Group offers more than 30return flights weekly into eight Chinese cities from Singapore and Vietnam.

Qantas launched flights from Melbourne-Tokyo in December, and plans a new Jetstar service from Melbourne to Ho Chi Minh City from May 2017.  www.qantas.com (ATI).
