NTT commits US$160 million to meet growing digital demand in India

MUMBAI - NTT Communications Corporation (NTT Com), the ICT solutions and international communications business within Japan’s NTT Group, is to launch international data network services in India through its affiliate, NTT Communications India Network Services (NTTCINS). NTT pla o invest more tha n US$160 million into the Indian market.

NTT’s acquisition of a licence in India follows the beginning of construction of the company’s two new data centres in Mumbai and Bangalore, through Netmagic, a subsidiary of NTT Com and a leading managed hosting and cloud service providers in India.

NTT Com acquired a Virtual Network Operator - International Long Distance (VNO-ILD) network licence in March this year. It is the first Japanese ICT provider of a VNO-ILD network licence in India.

NTT Com said it will invest more than US$160 million in the two data centres, which will become operational by April 2018. www.ntt.com  www.neetmagicsolutions.com (ATI).
