December 18, 2017

BEIJING - Deer Jet has become the first Chinese private jet operator to fly from China to the Antarctic, with the company saying the arrival of one its private jets at Wolfs Fang airport marks the beginning of a new charter service between China and the Antarctic.

Deer Jet, which describes itself as the largest business aviation group in Asia, was formed 22 years ago. In a press release today, it said the Antarctic landing was a more than a milestone for China's business aviation.

“This operation is also a significant contribution for the development of international air travel and transportation, providing access to the world's most remote areas,” it said.

Deer Jet said it will now add the Antarctic continent to its travel itineraries, “satisfying a growing demand from global business travellers”.

In its statement today, Deer Jet said it has expanded its operations across 800 airports covering 180 countries and territories, and built up a comprehensive network offering on-demand charters, aircraft management, brokerage, ground handling, FBO, air medical, and luxury travel.
