Heads of Agreement signed for 600MW gas power plant in Indonesia

August 14, 2017

MANILA - PT Energi Nusantara Merah Putih (ENMP) and the industrial tenants of Indonesia’s Bantaeng Industrial Park (KIBA) has signed a Heads of Agreement outlining development plans for a 600MW combined-cycle power plant. The partnership is supported by the Government of Bantaeng Regency, South Sulawesi.

ENMP will work on the landmark project with Philippines-based Atlantic, Gulf and Pacific Company (AG&P), which specialises in bringing LNG to markets that are currently off-grid with pragmatic, fast-track, standardised infrastructure.
In 2014, following the adoption of Indonesian Government regulations banning the export of unprocessed mineral ore, KIBA was formed covering an area of approximately 3,000ha of Bantaeng Regent at the initial stage.

KIBA provides special services to industrial tenants and has attracted a sizeable number of domestic and foreign investments, particularly in smelter development within the regency, creating robust growth demand for energy.

ENMP and its partners plan to strive to develop Bantaeng as the centre of LNG distribution for central and eastern Indonesia. The LNG terminal and power plant have an estimated total investment of US$980 million.  http://www.agp.ph/ (ATI).
