CMA CGM offers shippers new coverage for unforeseen events

MARSEILLES – The CMA CGM maritime transport Group, which includes ANL, has launched the first in a package of new products offering customer protection for unforeseen events during freight transport.

Marketed as ‘SERENITY by CMA CGM’, the concept provides a commitment to compensate for any kind of unforeseen event. It will be available worldwide at all stages of transport for any business or individual needing to transport goods in one or more containers, with coverage 100% supported by CMA CGM.

The first product available is ‘Cargo value SERENITY’, which allows for quick compensation to businesses whose goods have been damaged or lost during transport for any reason, including natural disasters.

It provides for a refund of up to 100% of the value of the goods in less than 30 days.

Further products will be launched in coming weeks, including cover for costs in the event of damage to a container during handling, and compensation for shippers in case of payment default by their own customers.
